Software Development Intern at Paras Anti-Drone

Intership at Paras Anti-Drone

During my internship, I worked on software for communication and radio systems, spanning desktop applications, Android development, and hardware integration.

My work included automating electronic test equipment using PyVISA and SCPI commands, developing dispatcher and radio communication applications, and building Android tools that communicated with external devices over serial interfaces. I implemented features such as PDF transmission over serial links, device detection, validation logic, contact and scan-list management, themes and state management, and user-interface modules for customer programming software (CPS).

The internship exposed me to real-world software engineering challenges including communication protocols, hardware-software integration, application architecture, debugging complex state-management issues, and designing scalable user interfaces for production environments.

Implemented the fundamental ScreenCapture engine inside core/perception/screen_capture.py.

  • Continuous screen capture loop using mss on dedicated background threads.
  • Thread-safe async frame queuing using asyncio.Queue.
  • Mocked unit tests for FPS assertions, BGRA-to-RGB formatting, and display-free shutdowns.

My work in this chapter focused on adapting AI-driven assessment methodologies to the Indian education system. I was challenged to consider the complexities of local contexts, giving me a broader appreciation for the potential and limitations of AI in education. It was a deep learning process that sharpened my understanding of how AI tools must be contextualized to be effective, equitable, and sustainable.

Moon of Yesterday

My debut novel is a contemporary soft sci-fi exploration of memory, time, and the weight of grief. Published globally via Notion Press, it follows Lyra on a journey as she slips through the cracks of time and learns to let go, confronting a haunting truth: some scars shape who we become, and healing them may come at the cost of everything that made us human.
